These terms govern your use of Soko Sensei (the "platform"), operated by Volcha Enterprises Ltd (www.volcha.co.ke). By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the platform.
The service
Soko Sensei is an e-commerce platform. It gives businesses a dashboard to manage products, services, stock, orders, bookings and payments, and an API that serves that information to the business's website or app. We may add, change or remove features over time.
Accounts
You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for all activity under your account. Provide accurate information, and tell us promptly if you suspect someone else is using your account. You must be authorised to act for any business you manage on the platform.
Fees and renewals
Platform fees are paid monthly, with no long-term commitment. We remind your store's admins by email before a renewal is due. If a renewal is missed, the affected parts of your account are locked until you renew; your data is not deleted. One-off work, such as a custom website or domain registration, is quoted and agreed before you pay.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the platform for any unlawful purpose or to sell prohibited goods or services.
- Try to access another store's data or any part of the system you're not authorised to use.
- Interfere with, disrupt or place undue load on the platform or its infrastructure.
- Reverse engineer or try to extract source code, except where the law expressly allows it.
- Send spam or unwanted messages through the platform's email or SMS alerts.
Payments
The platform supports payments through M-Pesa and Pesapal. Payments made by your customers go directly to your own M-Pesa or Pesapal account and are processed by those providers under their own terms, including their transaction fees. You are responsible for the accuracy of your prices, for fulfilling orders and appointments, and for any taxes that apply to your sales.
Third-party services
The platform relies on third-party services, including payment providers (M-Pesa and Pesapal), an email delivery provider and an SMS provider. Your use of those services is also subject to their terms. How we handle data with these providers is described in our privacy policy.
Your content
You keep ownership of the content you put into the platform, including your catalogue, branding and store data. You give us the permission needed to host and process that content so we can provide the service.
Availability
We work to keep the platform available and reliable, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted service. We may suspend access for maintenance, for security, or to protect the platform.
Liability
The platform is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, loss of profits, or loss of data arising from your use of the platform.
Termination
You may stop using the platform at any time. We may suspend or end access if you breach these terms or use the platform in a way that risks harm to others or to the service.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we'll change the "last updated" date above. Continuing to use the platform after changes means you accept the updated terms.
